Fun With Freecycle: Bed

Bed for Supervillain Who Can Use Tools and Has a Truck

We’re moving our bedroom around and decided we needed a new bed.  Our old one is great, but it blocks the windows too much.  If you have a good space, this is a spectacular queen-sized bed with only one problem: it’s nigh-indestructible.

It hasn’t always been nigh-indestructible.  Like a hero from a comic book, it started out weak and underappreciated.  We bought it in Chicago as a cheaper copy of a much more expensive Crate and Barrel bed.  It looks great, but after a few years, it fell apart.  Our handyman (an evil genius with incredible pedigree), repaired it for us a little too well.  He screwed a steel bedframe into the middle and now we have no clue how to take it apart.

If someone dropped a nuclear bomb on our home, the bed would still be there.  That’s how tough this thing is.  Whoever wants this bed should have a knowledge of tools, a pickup truck, and probably some kryptonite.

Queen sized, dark brown leather, with a small footboard.
